FIMFA - International Festival of Puppets and Animated Forms'24

[ May ] Marionettes and animated forms from all over the world descend on the capital.

There are more than 20 artistic proposals taking place in 8 theatres over 25 days.

The 24th edition of FIMFA brings together renowned national and international companies and creators, this time under the theme of ‘Freedom’.

Between the São Luiz Teatro Municipal, the LU.CA – Teatro Luís de Camões, São Jorge Castle, the Museum of Lisbon – Pimenta Palace, the Roman Theatre, the Teatro do Bairro, the Teatro Taborda and Cinemateca Portuguesa, there will be street shows for the whole family;proposals that cross visual arts, theatre and philosophy, to reflect on current affairs and the new challenges of democracy; a film cycle and also a concert that joins puppets, masks and music.
